Royan is the main resort town on the famous Cote de Beaute. There are many fabulous beaches of which the Conche de Pontaillac is number one. There are many quiet bays shaded by the pine forests in nearby Vaux sur Mer and Saint Palais. It is a leisure town with lots of beaches, sailing and water sports.
